Blue Mountain Parrot Aviary opened its doors in June of 2008. In 2000, We began breeding Cockatiels, later expanding to Macaws .We expanded into larger birds and built a large exotic bird store. We then took the next step by creating an E-Commerce store to provide bird sales, bird cages,bird toys, bird food, and bird supplies nationwide.
We offer everything from finches to Macaws, in all sizes and price ranges. Some of the breeds we carry are: Blue and Gold Macaw , African Grey Parrot
Scarlet Macaw, Galah Cockatoo , Blue-eyed Cockatoo , Hyacinth Macaw and Black Palm Cockatoo.
Every bird is hand raised at our facility. Our nursery is behind glass, where you can view the babies being fed throughout the day. As our babies get down to one hand feeding per day, they graduate to the bird showroom where our customers may meet and interact with our birds as they make their selection of which one to adopt. Deposits are accepted at any age, and all new owners are encouraged to come in often to visit and bond with their new family addition.
Orders can be taken if we do not have the specific bird available that you are looking for. I have assembled a very knowledgeable and customer service oriented staff. Each of them are bird owners as well. It is very important to us that each customer has an idea of what they are looking for in a bird, so that we can match the right bird to their new owner.
Please click on our Birds Available page and see just a few of the babies that we have in the store. Remember that they grow very quickly, so they won't look like little babies for very long. The store is 4000 square feet, and may contain between 75 to over 200 birds at any one time.
We also have over 250 birdcages on display in the store, with additional colors in stock in the warehouse. We can direct ship any order right to your door.
We have a separate area where we board birds for owners that are on vacation. We also provide all bird grooming services that you are welcome to watch. We can do wings, beaks, nails, and feather treatment baths while you wait.
For those of you that want to know if your bird is a male or female, we can collect a blood sample and send it away for DNA sexing. We receive the test results in about a week, with a certificate following in about 2 weeks.

Each of our babies is given a hand feeding formula that is best suited to their species and individual needs. They are exposed to a variety of foods at an early age, which allows them to explore and experiment with different tastes and textures.
We believe socialization at a young age is a critical factor for having a confident, happy, and well-adjusted parrot. It is important to teach parrots some basic manners and commands. All of our baby birds are taught to “step up,” “step down,” and “no.” Our babies are exposed to birds of different species. We feel this is an added bonus, enabling the babies to adjust with less stress to those households with other birds.
